Hi, I'm trying to design a 3.3v to 1.8V level shifter which can works over 1Gbps, while at the same time keep proper duty cycle.

The normal way is to connect a 3.3V inverter to the 1.8V supply, the input of this inverter is still 3.3v ,while the output is 1.8V leve alreday. But this method affect the duty cycle, espeically when freq is very high.

Any suggestions?

use a differential latch type.......
my previous design is over 1GHz (2Gbit/s) over PVT for 0.35um process
and with 48/52 duty cycle.

Using a comparator would mean that we need an extra reference signal. Is there other ways?

Your 3.3V inverter won't function properly with 1.8V power supply
