Hi all,

I have connected signal generator to the oscilloscope via amplifier with unity gain just for test. The oscilloscope is showing double peak-to-peak signal even without amplifier. Kindly let me know how this happen logically.

Hi all,

A typical signal generator requires to operate in a designed load. Most often, 50 Ohms.
Typical oscilloscope inputs are high-impedance, like 1 M Ohm, and to get a correct reading, you should load your generator in 50 Ohms, then oscilloscope reading should be closer to expected amplitude.

Or set the termination on the generator to Hi-Z and no termination is required.
