Orcad capture-warning DRC0037

Hi frnds!


I have so many warnings in my design, especially DRC0037 how to correct this warining??? plz help me to solve dis pblm if u know....some examples are listed below....

I think these errors are related to power.U might have given different net name in different places and finally terminated with same gnd or power symbol. Lets take an example if you want to create two grounds one is AGND and and another one DGND simply edit symbol net name and remove the alias net names to avoid confusion.

tanq for ur repli......I am using same net name-GND,the pin name only vss....there are so manu pins with name vss i connect all those vss to gnd....so the net name for all vss pin is gnd only....is there any wrong in that....help me....

dont give net name to vss pins..it will take automatically symbol net name..

if i didnt give that net name means what it will assign?

u will be connecting those pins to gnd symbol right..it will take gnd symbol net name.

if drc0037 warning occurs.....is it a right way to make that vss pin as passive??? i refferd some sites,many told lyk dat only....is it crt????

is not related to pin type.It is related to multiple net names given for same net...

no in my schematic,u113 ic having so many vss pins all net names are similar only.....net name is gnd.....bcz all vss pins are connected to gnd.....u told that multiple net name for same net, but here for multiple net only we are using same net name.....what is the pblm????

May be ur problem is different and i think it is related to Pin property..check what property is given for power pins..Property should be Power instead of passive.

pin property is power only.....

ok fine..then what issues ur facing now?

for all vss net,the same net name GND.....is it crt method???

can i see snap shot of the vss portion to suggest in better way?

this is schematic....go thru...

Another way is to edit the part and change all the VSS names to GND, make sure the pin is set to type "Power", Shape is "Zero Length", and un-check Pin Visible. This would electrically connect all the grounds without you having to wire them.

SRY....cant understand....changing vss name means we have to change all vss pin name to gnd????

Make sure that all pin whatever ur connecting to gnd or power should have Power property...
