OP amp and transistor

When it comes to amplying a small current, what are the advantages do OP amp has over transistor?

OP amp and transistor

In design time only. This is a hobby circuit or industrial?

In hobby circuit yes use the opamp as you easily save time but in industry possibility is they will not use opamp but only transistor because it is cheaper.

Keep in mind an opamp has tens of transistors.
