To make this computer it isn't necessary to know a lot about electronics. It is only required to know how to program. It's a simple device with standard functions displayed.
It has two software versions. One for basic functions for two fuels: diesel and gas or for two drivers at the same time. Second one is improved with several more options.
It uses 16x2 LCD and is supported by two buttons. The computer works on BASCOM with the 8051 AT89C51RC2 processor. That is because the last version of software is 30kB. Software written in BASCOM works stable on 12Mhz without the watchdog.
Basic functions:
  • clock
  • instantaneous fuel consumption during the ride (L/100km)
  • instantaneous fuel consumption during the stop (L/h)
  • medium fuel consumption for 100km
  • current speed
  • medium speed
  • maximum speed
  • distance
  • forecast how much fuel for what distance remained
  • amount of fuel in the tank
  • amount of used fuel
  • temperature inside
  • temperature outside
  • travel time

Handling:
  • refueling (restorations of fuel in the tank)
  • deleting the counters
Obviously, the functions above are additionally for the second fuel or driver.

Alarms:
  • glaze frost alarm
  • reserve alarm (the intensity is proportional to the remaining amount of fuel)
  • radar (signaling of exceeding two optional speeds)
  • alarm 'turn on the lights'
  • alarm 'turn off the lights'
  • signaling of the inspection service

Configuration:
  • fluent regulation of back light separately for the day and the night
  • setting the clock
  • calibration (configuring the computer with the car)
  • setting the services period, radar controlled speed values etc.

Measurements (accuracy 1m and 0,1 sec):
[*] standard:
a. acceleration measurement from 0 to 100km
b. time on ¼ mile
[*] additional:
a. acceleration measurement from 0 to an optional speed
b. time measurement on an optional distance
[*] flexibility – measurement of a distance and time between two optional speeds
[*] history of 20 last measurements
[/list]

Communication:
  • RS communication with PC

Housing:

DOG displays (that the computer works with):

Schema of the connections:

Upper plate:

Thermometers:
