Hi,

Have got one of these little OCXO running at 10Mhz but cannot find any clear info on if its necessary to connect pin 1 , the frequency adjustment, to a voltage or if it will run fine on a default value if just left unconnected ?
( not being 'disciplined' etc )

Also, when some OCXO devices have a battery powered option, wondered how much difference that can make given todays good regulators ? and also does the battery have to power the OCXO direct or is using a 5v regulator from a 9 or 12v battery defeating the objective ?

The datasheet tells what you should do with pin1 when not using it. I'm surprized however that no frequency control range or V/f characteristic seems to be specified.

Hi,

Ah, thanks, amazing how easy it is to miss the obvious !

No idea how good / well specified these Micro Crystal units are ? just that they were being sold as New but old stock which seemed a better buy than than typical old used ones.

Being so small they do warm up very quickly with minimal current.
