RE:

The book "Video Demystified" contains lots of information about this...
* NTSC/PAL overview
* NTSC/PAL Encoding and Decoding

Ask to www.tenlab.com guys. They have converters for every standard you can image.

There is a NTSC encoder on the opencores page... There might be some documentation there.

NTSC/PAL encoder is pretty easy compared to decoder design. Video Demystified has a devoted chapter (used to be an encoding chapter, now merged with decoding) for the topic. But I'd recommend John Watkinson's primer for video encoding and decoding, it's crystal clear.

Is there a spec for Y/C filter design in PAL/NTSC/SECAM?

Re: NTSC/PAL Encoder's register spec or the theory of the en

I'm looking for any information I can get to write a device driver for NTSC PAL encoder. Any referrals would be helpful. I'm going to try to download the Video Demystified and others here have hard copy.

I think the digital desigen may be not difficult,but we need desigen the tv encoder to satify performance, so how to improve its design such as filter ,y/c delay circuit etc.

hello, I looking for a NTSC encoder, I have some CMOS camera sensor with YCrCb 8 bits output and I want convert the signal a NTSC, somebody knows a IC part number or some proyect to assembly this type of sensors?
