Hi experts once again,

Every time I have a problem, you help me out! thanks for that.

How about another one..

I am not getting output results with microcontroller when I switch on power to the circuit. I have to turn the power on and off several times to get the program working on hardware.

I have tried a differnt controller but in vain.

Any suggestions?

What kind of microcontroller? Can you provide a picture of the setup?

Sometimes the oscillator configuration bit is not set correctly, but it really depends on which microcontroller you have.

please check that the xtal osc is working when you apply power.

another possibility is a problem in RESET signal.
the rsest pin may not be in hi or lo as reqd.

check it and post

As told our friends first chek out the crystl frequency and the reset pin, i.e , is the crystal frequency is sufficient to your controller and chek out the hardware connections.......................

some times if the crystal frq. is low then the controller will works slowly, and the ground pin connections are made properly.............

check if crystal oscillator capacitors are of correct rating.
i had similar problem when i mistakenly used capacitors of different values.

Awesome! these were the wrong capacitors in use.

Now the things seem steady.
