Digital clock

I am designing a simple digital clock circuit which display's "sec, min, hour, if possible day month year" Please suggest me non-programable ic and if you have any idea of the project please suggest me

Thank you.

Re: Digital clock

Hi
Obviously the circuit will be conceptually large. The reason is, the input clock you are going to use will be in the MHz range and the minimum frequency you need is 1sec. So you need an appropriate conter of extremely large modulo number. You can cascade different counters in asynchronous way. Therefore an FPGA will be useful, I guess. Write your code in VHDL or Verilog or any other Hardware description language and use a proper interface software. Please let me know how you approach

Re: Digital clock

Hi,

You can use Real Time Clock (RTC) IC's from Maxim.

If you need more information, contact me.

Re: Digital clock

Non programmable? Is this simple clock the entire circuit? Or put differently... is this just going to display the required information on a display or is it going to supply the info to a different circuit?
Do you just want to set it via simple buttons? What kind of display do you have?

Digital clock

can any one post here clock schemetics & hex based on avr

Digital clock

use 555 timer ic and use 4 bit counter to implement logic

u can also use 4mhz oscillator pass it through series of t-flipflops to get ur suitable frequency by using 4mhz oscillator u can made a clock upto microseconds

note:- 2 pin crystal oscillator doesnot produces clock of thier own but 4 pin oscillator produces clock of its own its expensive than 2 pin oscillator but in range
