Hi

i intend to use the
design a noise cancellation circuit using adaptive filter the bandwidth of the circuit is 10MHz approx

will any one guide in this respect wat filter can be use i will be thank ful if u propose any IC as well

Signal theory tells, that the characteristic of an optimal filter has to be calculated from the spectra of the useful signal and the disturbing signal. The result of this (somewaht theoretical) approach is useally a FIR filter, defined by it's impulse response. It can be directly implemented by digital signal processing methods.

Telling about the application and nature of involved signals can possibly help to get a more practical answer.

Hi

thank u for ur reply

i have a signal of almost rectangular shape ( ideally) that has a lot of gaussian noise in it

an algorithm is used to be defined for calculating the on time and off time of the pulse during this two problems arise

1- due to false edges the time calculated has an error of abt 20% or it keep in changing for same signal

2- i have made the circuit like this that the signal is passed through a comparator to allow admissible signal by setting the threshold but this is to set a number of time with same experimental setup

So b4 the comparator stage i like to introduce an analog filter that will lead to an almost free of noise signal for good signal procesing

if u think that placing an FIR after the comparator has same effect then i can also think about the option

regards
