no footprint on orcad,

Hello guys,
i'm a new comer in orcad.
Can you please tell me how can I obtain PCB footprints for components.I am using orcad 16.6 . Is it required to manually add footprints for all components ?. but I haven't seen to find any footprint from anywhere.Do they tend to reference them in a different way?Hope I made this post in the right location,

Hi,

In general you need to create all the PCB footprint you need. Orcad/Cadence does not provides generic PCB footprint libraries.
And yes, it is required to manually add the PCB footprint to any component in your symbol library.

You may find symbols and/or footprint from some vendors (e.g Altera [1]).
