Negative Voltage Generator

Hi I m using a Flexiforce FSR in my project. The circuit I use (link below) needs a -1V input to the sensor. I have power sources that can supply 5V and 12V. how can I generate a negative voltage for the sensor?

There are charge pump negative voltage converter
ICs if your sensor current is reasonably low. Follow
that with a little negative LDO if you want to clean
it up some more.
