Dear All

Now I must design the new power device for SDH and this element is need
to define a follow condition to imprement so I think its had somebody could help me to do it(schemtic or new idea is fine)

1.Input voltage:36~72V;regular voltage is 48V
2.Output voltage:5V; regular rate is 2%
3.Output power : 15W
4.Output circuit:below 8A

Forward or flyback convertors are your solution, but I think for your application Forward converter is better selection, thids due to high level of output current.

also I think it is better to use integrated switchers available from International Reactifier : www.irf.com due to lower voltage and higher efficiency.

another solution is UC384X current mode SMPS controller.

BEST!
