Hi ,

I was trying to run Smoke analysis for the rfamp sample circuit. But when I run the transient simulation, PSPICE netlist shows some warnings like “PSPICE template is not available” (Attached the snapshot – rfamp_netlist warnings).

Also transient simulation captures only the input signals V(in) and abs(V(in)) and I couldn’t even probe the output signals(Snapshot attached – rfamp_simulation output)

If I run the smoke analysis, it is displaying as “Results not found. Select a transient profile and run Smoke analysis” (Snapshot attached – rfamp_smoke analysis output))

Also I tried to simulate a simple voltage divider circuit by taking the components from PSPICE_ELEM library but ended up with the same netlisting error, “PSPICE template is not available” and additionally : “Your design does not contain a Ground (0) net” eventhough a ground net is added(Snapshot attached - Voltage divider_Netlist warnings)

There was a simulation error stating “There are no devices in this circuit”(Snapshot attached - Voltage divider_Simulation error)

Please let me know where the issue is?

Awaiting for your response..

Thanks,
Jansi Rani. M

Looks like your pspice.ini file is somehow not configured properly. This could be due to the software not properly installed.
From one screenshot it appears that you are using 16.5 version, which is quite old.
I don't remember exactly, but Pspice.ini can be configured at following registry location in 16.5 -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cadence Design Systems\Interchange\16.5.0\Configuration

If you can upgrade to 16.6, it's very easy to debug/resolve there. It does not need changing any registry settings.

Yes , issue is with pspice.ini file and it is fixed
