I'm building a two tone alarm using a schmitt trigger. Need some ideas to make it more advance. What are the functionalities that I can add while using minimum amount of components?

Hi,

Minimum count of components:
* 1 part: two tone alarm buzzer. Just connect it to a supply and you will hear the alarm
* 3 parts: attiny, capacitor and a piezo
* 8 parts: 2 schmitt trigger, 3 capacitors, 3 resistors

I need some suggestion to extend its functionality or to optimize it some way.

Hi,

please be more descriptive:
"extend"
* volume control?
* three tones?

"optimize"
* costs?
* part count
* size

Anyway as long as it uses a Schmitt trigger. Volume control would be a good idea. But I have to use a Piezo buzzer so I think there is a limitation to that. Three tones won't be necessary but I can use a swept frequency chirp.

Yes when it comes to optimize it includes cost and size.
