need quadriletral equation

hi....sidra here..

i had a problem....if im given the four coordinates of a quadrilatral i.e...(x1,y1) , (x2,y2) , (x3,y3) and (x4,y4)...and im asked if the point (x,y) exists in side the quadriletral or not.....hw i'll find....

actully i hv to write an algorythm on it....so i hv to know wt is the formula for it.............waitin for reply.....sidra_maheen84@yahoo.com
