need help for power?

In our country, there is some problem in one of our power stations(Hydropower generator).
This problem is concerned with the following facts.
I would like to know about
1.the application of back to back connection of selenium finned rectifier in output of Hydropower generator circuit.
2.I would like to know about the specifications (Datasheet) of such device like V70-25A?
3.Which devices can be suitably used to replaced Such device like V70-25A ?
