Clock recovery circuits

Hello!

I'm doing an entry-level research on clock recovery circuits in data transmissions (especially Gigabit LAN PHY's). I'm currently looking for sources of information (books, theses, circuits, etc). Can anyone help?

Thanx.

Clock recovery circuits

Of course, something other than Razavi's M"onolithic PLL's and clock recovery circuits". This one I already have.

Re: Clock recovery circuits

Hi,

It depends if you want CDR theory or CDR circuit design.

Which do you want ?

If you want theory, read Meyr's books on Synchronization in Digital Communications. There are two books. Also for theory read Aaron Buchwald/Ken Martin's Integrated Circuits for Fiber Optic Receivers.

For implementation, go to www.aicdesign.org, and go the the classes and check the Frequency Synthesizer/PLL course. Also Razavi's book is good. Other than that read papers and old thesis from your school.
