Hi,
We have a 4 layer board which includes an offline SMPS, also includes two secondary side
SMPS's which have isolated outputs.
We need to do Hipot tests all over the board.
We need one of those hipot testers with buttons so that one may select the AC Test voltage and the "exposure" time.
But also, we need another button..that is, we need a button which one presses when one only wishes to do the Hipot
test for PCB trackings which are only on inner layers. As you know, the Test voltage need not be so high for such trackings.
This is because pollutive material cannot get to the inner layers. As you know, for a isolated SMPS board needing a 3.5kV/2 second
hipot test, the inner layer test voltage need only be around 1kV/2 seconds.
