Please pardon my newbie question. Unfortunately was unable to get what I was looking for by searching the forum.
My ask --
1) Cost and reliability are key factors that apply to all asks below
2) Need a RFID setup (antenna, reader, tags) with a range of ~10 ft (this will not be clear distance, there will be obstructions like when the card is in the laptop bag)
3) Need a starting kit to work against to show the system (here using reader with lesser range may do as the focus will be on what the system does outside of RFID)
4) Would ideally like to use more or less the same s/w integration when moving from the low cost/range reader to later the longer range production system
5) Based on the client's budget need also a system wherein the production setup has a much larger range say 30 ft (again not clear distance) and ideally would want to upgrade just the antenna/reader and stick with the passive cards.
Would appreciate if you can point me to a set of systems that can satisfy the above requirement along with ballpark prices.
