Hello Guys,
I already did several projects using PIC16Fxxxx microcontrollers. I am planning to go and try using PIC18fxxx, there are things I wanted to to know:
I heard that:
I can directly upload the .hex file (code) into the microcontroller without using any loaders such as Pickit2/3.
It is USB interface ready.
I am planning to make a development board of my own somewhat similar to arduino. So these are the questions I had in mind.
1. Is the syntax of the program in mikroC for PIC18fxxx the same with PIC16fxxx?
2. Do I need to initialize the PIC18fxxx if I will be using USB connection? Or do i need some sort of boot loader?
Thanks in advance guys, I would really appreciate any information and steps that I might need to start using PIC18fxxx family.
