need help on regulator circuit

Hi,

I heard there are some regulator circuit, it can stable the provided voltage, why we need to use such kind of circuit? and how about the key parameters during design?
 

transisitor level! Or board level!? :evil:
 

Hi,
You need a regulator if you are using any voltage sensitive circuit. However if you are using an external regulated supply you dont need this.

If you want to a constant and stable voltage but you only have unconstant source, you should using a regulator both in transistor and board level.
