Need help on Class C amplifiers and LC tank.

Hi,
can anybody tell how does this circuit works? How does a LC tank circuit works?

This is quite like an FM transmitter if you replaced the AC source by a microphone.

But I think that V2 is reversed, the +ve terminal should be connected to the base.

The frequency of transmitting is dependent to the tank circuit.
f=1÷(2Π√LC)
