hi
I am a student of mechatronics engg. I am working on multi tasking robot for image processing. Can any one suggest me which DSP kit to use for image processing???

for image processing you can use the simple image processing toolbox in mat lab..

It depends on your requirements for such image processing in your robot as an example if you just need to identify the objects, colors, tracking colors etc then you can chose microcontroller with CMUCAM or AVRCAM.

It is better if you can clearly defines your image processing requirements

Texas Instrument's Davinci type ARM based digital media processors are used widely in market. They has Image Co-processors HDVICP and MJCP. I recommend you to use them for both speed and lots of integrated peripherals for image processing.

Kind Regars,
