Hi,
I am searching for an Energy harvesting solution to power my 3.3V, 200mA circuit. I am trying to store the energy from my motor’s shaft current which is driven by a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
The specs of the Shaft energy as follows:
1. Current – may go upto 5A
2. Voltage – Normally maintained under 1 volts, but rare occasions it will spike upto 20 V. (mostly rippled AC voltage – can use rectifier circuit to convert to DC)
Kindly suggest me some options if the above method is feasible.
Thanks in advance.

I knew an IC LTC 3105 that can do low-power energy harvesting,it will satisfy most of your requirements, but Current of 5A & Spikes of 20 V are nasty, they'll blow the IC.It works for very low currents of 100 mA.

See if any of ICs on this page satisfies your cause:http://parametric.linear.com/energy_harvesting
