Note: Since it is used in the old project, i had used command prompt in Windows 98 to compile. Now i need to use in windows 7. Please help to purchase the compiler

If you have a toolchain running under DOS or Win98, you can still use it under recent Windows versions in a virtual machine.

If you don't have the tools (Compiler, Assembler, Linker), there are both open source and commercial tools supporting the 8051 chip. Among the commercial tools, Keil is a kind of industry standard. But if you have an existing project, you'll in the first place choose a tool that can compile it without code modifications.

Consider using DOSbox it's kind of VM.
Recently I installer DOSBox in Win7 running in VirtualBox, host Linux.
Needed for reviving some old projects

Hi all,

I had tried with Keil U vision 5 to compile my code.

It is showing the Error as :
*** ERROR L250: CODE SIZE LIMIT IN RESTRICTED VERSION EXCEEDED
LIMIT :0800H BYTES

MY CODE USED: 9CABH BYTES.

Did anyone have the licensed version or keygen to compile my code in keil c.

Please help.
