hi
is there any guy who has ever tested up-mixer or known how to test the mixer since the probe of Spectrum Analyzer is 50ohm?
normally,there are two ways:
1. using match networks to match the mixer to 50ohm testbench. is this the best choice? is it easier to implemented? T or Pi network?( frequency is 2G)

2. using buffer. A buffered mixer can be tested in a 50ohm system.
does anybody know good buffer structures? please give me some advice.
I have simply tried source-follower and super-source-follower. It takes much current to ensure it good performance .
But the problem is still that how to enhance its linearity.
since the mixer has about 16dbm OIP3 and 0dB gain, the buffer should own more than 30dbm, so that the tested result won't be influenced.
can anybody give me some advice or show me the way to test it in a 50ohm system?
is there any other circuit structure for this purpose?
thank you
