Game theory is domain based and application based technique where each optimization problem is taken as a game between the nature and the problem. Any action in favor of the person/unit performing action is taken as a gain. Anything in favor of the nature is taken as a loss. The whole optimization is then formulated in terms of a game and some techniques are used to solve it.

This is some general information, what in particular do you want to know ?
