Need a simple Nicad charger

simple nicad charger

I need to do a simple but automatic batteyr charger for my school final project. I need automatic so it starts trickle charging after max. voltage,in the way that the Nicad doesn't overcharge. It's going onboard for a small robot. I have a 5inch in diameter for all my stuff. And I already got alot of it (PIC16F877, Battery monitor crcuit, Linx transceiver'etc.). Please help...

simple nicd charger

try max712 or max713. Seems simple and very flexible in number of battery cells.
