Thanks all in advance...

I am posting this request to see if anyone has a simpler/alternate method of doing this besides a 555IC timer and solid state relay...as I have been unable to pick up the relay locally...the 555's I have a ton of...help!!!

Parameters:

Output Function: 120VAC ON/OFF cycling load, ideally adjustable from between 2-10 second cycle time.

Output Power: Less than 40 watts

With any luck, I'll be able to put together a few of these tonight... -Anyone out there ever been to a last minute trade show?-lol <sigh>

Thanks!

Roman

A 1-10Hz generator/switcher can be build with a couple of Gates or a couple of BJTs (plus some external Rs and Cs) but I don't think you you will find anything simpler than a circuit based on the 555 ..
So, if you have tons of it - go ahead ..
