Hello,
I am developing a portable device, and am in the process of developing the circuit for testing. I am currently searching for an IC capable of managing the energy of my equipment which has the function of switching between battery and adapter, to provide information directly to my processor on the battery status, temperature. I researched some and would like to hear from someone experienced with this type of IC which one to choose for my application and if there are any to indicate to me?
Some found in my research:
MAX17085b
AS3606
AS3607
AXP209
RT5002
TPS65090

Best Regards.

Hi TiagoRibeiro,

Are you looking for a battery management/charger device? Like these here: https://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/power-management/battery-charger-solutions-products.page , or do you need just voltage monitoring devices? To generate out of the battery voltages the supply voltage and monitoring can be done with another iC. An example for a remote sensor powersupply: https://www.ichaus.de/wp9_whitepaper_en . Everything depends on the type of battery, the voltage in/out and the current demand of your portable device.

Enjoy your design work!

Yeah, what i am looking for is a system power and battery management/charger
But I am looking for an IC that has varied output voltages 3.3v and 5v. You know any IC that offer this? or do I have to do a circuit part for such voltage levels?
I'm asking this because I have many doubts about what is more viable, as it needs to be small. I am doing training in Altium designer to do the hardware in various layers to save space. The equipment should be the size of a tablet with display 7".
thanks for your help, I'm really enjoying working on this project!:-D

The Max17085b has 5V/100mA and 3.3V/50mA plus the charger. Do you need more current?

Enjoy you design work!
