Need a help for Function Generator using LPC2148

i am working in LPc2148. i generate a square wave. but problem is how to increment and decrement the frequency of the square wave via keypad. i am using IAR embedded work bench compiler.... and explain me about the Timer match Concepts..........

Use timer as counter to generate frequency from the main clock (PLL) change the reload value to get higher of lower frequency
