MYSQLDAC or other database alternative for Delphi

I need to log data comes from my data logging equipment at the field and I am looking for fast,reliable and multi-user (distributed) database alternative for delphi. At first I was attemp to use Paradox and shared it to network by only making "shared" the database file folder but it was very slow in this way. I need Client-Server based database.

I would like to try MYSQL with a Linux or Win2K based database server. Which database interface is the best for Delphi? Please send me DAC for DAC for M*SQL (former name M*SQLDAC) full version if do you have.
