I want to simulate a BPF microstrip filter (fc:35GHz) using momentum @ genesys software.
I want to use the box feature (metal shielding for the filter)... @ layout layers in genesys it has "air above" and "top cover layer"...
I can choose different types of air covers (lossless, physical, electrical....etc) and some options for each of them...what i must select in order to have a good result?
Is there any other way to simulate the shilding?

You have to select realistic boundary conditions for a healthy simulation result. If you wanna simulate your filter in a shielding box, Genesys Momentum is not a proper choice. You should 3D EM simulator like HFSS or EMPro..

So genesys has this feature for no reason?
Genesis has 2.5D EM Simulator that is convenient for mostly Planar Devices. You can use it for a starting point but walland approximate effects of shielding box will not really be taken into account. It's good for initial simulations.

The question is how to set up this feature on genesys...not what else can i use...

Nothing mentioned in online help? In Momentum for ADS online help, there is a chapter "Adding Boxes, Waveguides, and Symmetry Planes".

Thanks for the reply...nothing that helped me for genesys....and cover type...physical lossles and abouth their settings...if yoy find something more than me please post it!

Regards
