It is an idea of a robot with track drive. For making this, two sets were used:
- Tamiya 70097 Twin-Motor Gearbox Kit (motors with gears)
- Tamiya 70100 Track and Wheel Set (track)
This is a simple to make device. You don't need to know electronics well, have an advanced workshop or specialistic tools. Everything you need to have is a soldering iron, some cables, screwdriver and five hours of free time.
The robot was made in module shape, with possibility of work as:
- explorer
- maze machine/bypassing obstacles
- linefollower
- sparing partner for mini-sumo (it is too large for mini-sumo)
- power unit – motors with Tamiya gearboxes
- track drive – Tamiya
- length x width x height: 190 x 110 x 80mm
- control Arduino Duemilanove + engine control of own development (self Shield)
- Sharp sensor mounted on modeling server
- power 4 AA batteries (2200mAh)
- lighting: 6 x LEDs
- housing: PVC
- spray
- hot glue
- few drops of glue
- pvc
- 2 pens
- installing channel
- metal speaker cover
- power supply: 3V
- engine speed of motors at 3V: 12300rpm
- current consumption without load 3V: 150mA
- stop current 3V: 2100 mA
- colour: grey
- dimensions: 75 x 24 x 34mm
- axle – mounting: 105mm (3mm hex)
- weight: 71 grams
- current: 0,5A (per engine) 3V
- ratio: 58:1 or 204:1 (optional)
- speed: 230 or 65 3V
- torque (ounce-for-inch): 29 or 102 3V
