multisim dao

Anyone had a problem with running MS 2001 under XP SP1 ? When I try to start MS now, it sez " Unable to initialize DAO/JetDB engine" and quits.

multisim 10 dao

what you need to do

is apply sp1 to multisim also

if you use sp1 xp corperate version

also
the correct sequence of install is in order of release date

and must all go in every update

the error you have is a data object error

the jet doa engine is installed by multisim when it runs for the first time

it will ask you if you want to update this

if you use forinstance win 98 this is a work around in the set up for multisim
to prevent the doa engine installing in xp {becouse it has a later version}

this database is linked by data object access to other platforms like office etc.... for export and spreadsheet type work on the data base

so my advice is to

uninstall the app completely remove all dead folders and other parts
reboot
and then use an app like system mechanic too clean and remove all the dead keys

then reboot
and reinstall this time it will ask say yes
then let it figure out the doa is already there and install the correct flags and files for xp

......

then register the app and install sp1 too it then update the database
