op amp multiplication

:cry:hiii all
please help me to implement analog design for multiplication function by using
Op Amp tools?

op-amp multiplication

Hi Abo_Ayat,

I assume you need "true" multiplication, i.e., not for
modulation/demodulation or similar applications.

One method is using logarithmic amplifiers for both signals, then summing and finally an antilog amplifier. This method uses Op Amps and external transistors.

There are several techniques, tell me the purpouse of your request, and I give you some info.

yes my dear:
i will implement a part circiut of control for the active power filter controlling.
i hope plzz that you will help me.

multiplication by op amp

you want multiplication or amplification?

if amplification you need to give me more info to help

if multiplication you can use noninvering configuration using op amp the feedback oresistor can be variable so that the multiplication can be adjustable.

help in what? which circuit you are interested in?
y to post another topic?

Design elctrnic ckts using OPAMP 4 mathematical operation???
Design the following arithmetic circuits using OPAMP circuits:
a) Sum
b) Subtraction
c) Multiplication
d) Division
e) Square-root

Please also give some details on how you did it ???

Mail me at anujmaini(at)yahoo.com , mainianuj(at)gmail.com

Ur help and suggestions will be appreciated....

hey i need it urgently....so kindly help me....
thanks a lot in advance....

In my opinion, one week should have been sufficient to find the answer in an electronic circuits textbook or the internet.
So what are you waiting for?

To give a brief answer, consider a simple one OP circuit for a + b and add a 4-quadrant-multiplier IC to solve c - e.
The latter requires a nonlinear circuit and can't be done with an OP alone.

i too need help on how to design arithmatic circuits using OPAMP????
so kindly help us soon if u can????????

can u plsss explain me in more detail....

and i found out many books...but was unable to find anything on it....so last option left was here only...so pllsss help...

Added after 1 minutes:

plsss suggest me any book or internet links....where i can find the ans to last three points..... i.e. c-e....

Added after 46 minutes:

can u plsss suggest me some way to solve c-e using logarithmic op amplifiers...

Added after 49 seconds:

i think using logarthmic amplifiers will be the easiest way out....can u tell me how to use logarthmic circuits?????
