I would like to simulate and evaluate the electric field generated as materials and geometries of generic electrodes change.

I have never used simulation software, but I have heard of CST and HFSS. The only difference I have read online is that CST uses FIT while HFSS uses FEM.

I think that for the basic task I need to do both are fine ... however, I would be curious about your opinion on which one you recommend (for my task) and the actual difference between FIT and FEM software
