MQTT Porting with microcontroller

How to port MQTT to any microcontroller?

I download MQTT code from Github but din't understand how to use it for different microcontroller such as NXP,TI,ESP8266...etc

Any body know how to get started with MQTT porting from embedded paho source code?

Do you plan use it on bare metal? As i know paho mqtt for devices with OS (TCP/IP layer available), from paho mqtt readme page;

Currently there are implementations for Linux, Arduino and mbed

Yes I will port it on bare metal platform or with FreeRTOS
