Hi everyone,

All Polystyrene capacitors have no polarity ?

Thanks:thumbsup:

Correct.

If you see ones with a band at one end it usually means the wire at that end is connected to the outer layer of foil and is therefore better used as the ground end where it gives better shielding to the inner part of the capacitor. If used in a circuit in which one end isn't ground it doesn't make much difference which way around you connect it.

Brian.

yes, only tantalum and electrolytic have polarity in capacitors
