[Moved] ModelSim msimpevsim feature failed

Hi,

I have installed the license file successfully in my virtual machine. VSIM is not giving any error about Licensing. Now when I am trying to simulate a Hermes Noc project it is giving me :

License error: License request for msimpevsim feature failed
License error: Invalid Host. (C:/modeltech_pe_10.5a/win32pe/license.txt)
License issue: Can't find license file (C:/modeltech_pe_10.5a/win32pe)
License issue: Can't find license file (C:/flexlm/license.dat)

I checked the license file path and it is set correctly as (C:/modeltech_pe_10.5a/win32pe/license.txt). Kindly help me to resolve the issue.

open your license file, look for the string "msimpevsim". check the date.

Personally I would put the license file in this location: License issue: Can't find license file (C:/flexlm/license.dat).

From the messages it is hard to determine if the license file is even found. Have you run lmstat? Are your environment variables set correctly?

VSIM is not giving any error about Licensing.

I'm not to sure what this means either. How did you determine this? I know that Modelsim has in the past allowed the opening of the GUI without a license but try to do anything after it is open will result in license checkout failures. Did you test include trying to launch a simulation of a simple gate on the command line or what?
