sir,
I am creating layout by using "generate from source" option..Is it necessary to add separate ntap or ptap adjacent to pmos and nmos if i am opting dietype option as detached
sajin

No attachment, no idea about "dietype". You will be
required to meet core max-tap-to-active rules and
generally there is no penalty for doing better when
there's "white space" between active regions.

I/Os are a whole 'nother level of fancy rules and ways
to fail by cheating / ignoring; usually involve full guard
rings, which are the most complete "tap" you can give
a device (but would be uneconomical in the core if
any great density and any assurance that stray carriers
will not impinge).
