here's one doubt : why do we get strong tv signals at one place and weak signals at other place ?

tv signals will be reduced if you have any obstructions in between the receiving and the transmitting antenna such as high rise buildings hills etc

I hope you mean on RF radio wave signals not on cable operator signals.

tv frequency is in the VHF and mostly in the uhF bands for the old terrestrial systems. these frequencies are very directional, and can be attenuated very easily by obstructions.

this is why in old days the yagi antennas for tv were mounted on very high long poles, so that they could "see" the transmitter.
