MotoVT – voltage and temperature indicator for a motorcycle

The device is a simple accumulator voltage, engine temperature and air temperature display. The main idea was to build a cheap device with as much as possible series appearance. The device is based on Atmega8, which controls a 7-segment LED display and of course reading parameters values.



Initially, the stabilizer was mounted on the board, but finally it was mounted inside the housing of the clocks. With 15V supply it is softly warm, a small aluminum radiator would be nice. To measure the temperature of the coolant, the existing installation was used. The characteristic of the temperature sensor was examined (depending on the temperature) – ADC value.
The display was mounted on black silicone. The steering button was replaced with two micro switches (the original start button was damaged).
