can anyone give me idea of mosfet gate drive...

i have been confused in phsics.. if mosfet is voltage controlled device then y it nid a current to charge it
i=q/t
what is q..?? whether its ciss or only gate to source capacitance...

regarding time will it be tr(rising time)

looking forward to hearing you soon..!!

In order to drive the MOSFET, we need the current to make it a voltage controlled device.. Q is the charge flowing towards the gate..

Yes you are right... MOSFET is a voltage controlled device...
But dont forget voltage is directly proportional to current...
And make sure the concept of capacitors...
And in i=q/t q is the number of charge careers (Electrons) moved towards the GATE capacitor...

so what willbe the q & t..??
total gate charge..?? input cap ciss..??
time..?? tr??
