boost converter equations

Hi guys!
I need some theoretical help with a boost converter. I need to know the (aproximate) average mosfet current in a boost converter.

Let's say we have 10V input, 40V output voltage and 1A output current. I need only a rough estimate of what the mosfet current would be. Any ideas how to calculate this?

Best regards!
