modelsim help

I tried to simulate a program with the lines
sum: process (theta) is
variables ...
begin

but it tells me that after is there should be a begin.
i simulated the same code in the aldec active HDL program and works just fine.first of all why is there a difference between the programs, how can i fix it in modelsim and the last one what program should i try to learn considering the differences in the VHDL code

thanks in advance

i finally found what was wrong
i should check in the compile options the 1993 VHDL syntax

Re: modelsim help

which editon do you currenly use :)

The "PROCESS" keywords do not need "IS"!
