Hi members,
Please can someone tell me
1- what is the minimum pulse width withought degradation for signals used to carry information trough copper interconnects in 65 nm tech.
2- The same question but now through optic fibers
The less the pulse width the more bandwidth is needed to transmit it without distortion. The bandwidth of the copper interconnects is decided by the parasitic resistance and capacitance. So the parasitic RC should be known first to calculate the mimimum pulse width. The bandwidth of a optic fibers is very large compared with copper interconnects.
