Hi,

I need an electronic circuit that should give 600mA-700mA current to a resistive load (1ohm-2ohm).
However, the current should flow through the load 5 miliseconds after 5V input is applied to the circuit.
Any help greatly appriciated.

There are a LOT of ways you can do this; a simple R-C going into a schmitt trigger is one. The output of your schmitt trigger can drive the gate of a MOSFET (or the base of a BJT).

You can make a monostable with 555 and a series pass NPN transistor on its output to handle the load
 

Following the idea suggested by Barry (post #3)...

Here is a schematic showing how a series RC combo can deliver a delayed hi or lo signal, after power is applied. Scope traces tell the story.
