Migration from CAN to CAN FD

Hi all,
In these days I was studying about the communication networks such as CAN , CAN FD etc. I want to know whether we can implement CAN FD in a CAN supporting microcontroller ? Please help me.

you would require transcivers which support the CAN FD protocol, e.g. the Microchip MCP6561FD
